KROY LAUNCHES TWO NEW PC-LABEL PRINTERS AT FOSE 2000 TRADE SHOW

CLEVELAND (April 6, 2000) – Kroy LLC, a major manufacturer of label printers and supplies, will be unveiling two new PC-label printers at the FOSE 2000 trade show in Washington, DC, April 18-20. Both printers come with easy-to-use software that allows the user to quickly produce a variety of labels. The K227 On-Line Labeler prints paper labels up to 2 ¼” wide, while the K3000-PC label and wire-marking printer produces colorful laminated labels, shrink tubing and wire marks.

“What makes the K3000-PC unique is the ease of use, the wide variety of label supply, and the affordable retail price of $199,” said Benny Bonanno, Vice-President of Sales and Marketing for Kroy. “Users will love the versatility. By simply switching supply cartridges you can print on different types of labels to mark or identify parts, shelves, wires and cables, file folders—just about anything!”

Label supplies for the K3000-PC include economical direct-thermal paper labels, heavy-duty industrial labels that are UV and chemical resistant, a tamper-evident supply that alerts the user if the label has been tampered with, cast vinyl labels for exterior and irregular surfaces, shrink tubing or wire marks for wires and cables, and die-cut labels in a variety of sizes.

Requirements to run the K3000-PC are a personal computer with Windows 95, 98, 2000 or NT 4.0 and one available serial port. Print resolution is 300 DPI.

The Kroy K227 On-Line Labeler prints single or multiple labels in 14 different sizes. Label choices include shipping, mailing, file folder, address, multi-purpose, VHS face and spine, diskette, zip, and return address. Labels can be printed either horizontally or vertically.

“The K227 provides a great alternative to printing labels off your laser printer,” said Bonanno. “You can capture and print a single address label without having to run a whole sheet of labels or tying up your laser printer. It’s also an easy and efficient way to print file folder and video labels.”

Requirements to run the K227 are a personal computer with Windows 95, 98, 2000 or NT 4.0, 4 MB of RAM, and a serial port. The suggested retail price for the K227 is $149. Both printers come with Kroy Label Designer Software to make label creation quick and easy. Graphics, logos, bar codes and multiple fonts can be added with the click of a mouse. The printers are also compatible with most Windows-based software.

Kroy provides customers with timely identification solutions including bar-code printers, labeling systems and supplies, and signage. Headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, Kroy maintains sales operations in the United States, Germany, France and the United Kingdom.
